Risk assessment
Health and Safety
Risk Assessment
Potential Hazard
Location
Who is at Risk?
How are you going to make sure it doesn’t happen?
Who’s Responsibility?
Robbery of equipment
Either inside, or
outside the house or church
The entire crew, but
the camera man especially
The cameraman is
going to have to make sure that the camera is with him at all times, and that
it’s ever out of sight.
The camera operator
as he would be the person held responsible to look after the camera
Equipment getting
damaged
Inside the house, or
within the area of the shooting location. Or on our way to/from the location.
The entire crew, but
again, the camera man especially.
The camera man is
going to have to make sure that he utilises every piece of equipment with
care. E.g. making sure the camera is screwed onto the tripod properly, so
that it’s not loose.
The camera man, as
no one else within the crew has no business with touching the camera.
Crew members getting
injured
Outside or near the
area of shooting.
Both the crew
members, and the members of staff at the hotel could be at risk.
The crew members
simply because there could be an injury, it they could possibly be at fault
for that injury. However, the members of staff at the hotel could be at risk,
as it is their duty to make sure that the location is a safe environment for
filming. E.g. no wires sticking out, cause people to trip over, etc.
Before we start
filming, or laying out equipment, we ensure that everywhere is safe. Also,
when it comes to the point where we start laying out equipment, we have to
make sure that we do it properly, and everyone is still able to move around
okay, as there isn’t much space in hotel rooms.
No one because one because
it is outside and it’s a natural environment.
The ground or the environment (surroundings)
Outside in the location
Everyone is at risk because all the crew will be outside.
Clear all the space from things that are dangerous such as
broken trees, sticks.
It is no one responsibility however it is also someone responsibility
to clear the area.
The location I’m using it’s an old building
Its outside, either in the building or outside on grass
Everyone who is in the location or the building.
Before filming or shooting need to check to see if the
building is ok to film in and make sure it is secure to film in.
Everyone has a responsibility, because they shouldn’t be
working in a dangerous environment.
